Get your very own scaled-down replica of the Pokémon Box, inspired by Jon Collins-Black’s book There’s Treasure Inside.

The amount of detail required to make this treasure box look right is unbelievable. Every time I thought I was getting close to being done with the design, I’d notice something that just didn’t live up to the spirit of the original, and need to spend a ton more time working on it. Finally after over 110 hours of designing, it was complete. Next I color tested probably a dozen different materials and colors to find what looked best for this box.

The final chest itself takes over 57 hours of print time to complete and is made from multiple types of PLA filament. Once printed I clean up the pieces carefully and attach its components.

The chest is not an absolute copy of the original, but I think it gets close enough to still be special to those participating in the hunt. I hope whoever gets one enjoys the piece, appreciates the work put into it, and finds some treasure to put inside!
