Get your very own scaled-down replica of the Lion’s Share Box, inspired by Jon Collins-Black’s book There’s Treasure Inside.

This treasure chest took months to design in a way that could be 3D printed while still maintaining the spirit of the original. Over those months were hundreds of hours of failed test prints and tens of pounds of print materials sacrificed. When I realized I had reached the capabilities of my 3D printers, I had to scramble to upgrade them to machines capable of what was desired.

The final chest itself takes over 81 hours of print time to complete and is made from 3 special types of silk PLA filament. Once printed I clean up the pieces carefully and hand painted each to make the chest look weathered and unique.

The treasure box is approximately 7” wide by 6.25” deep by 4.125” tall.

The chest is not an absolute copy of the original, but I think it gets close enough to still be special to those participating in the hunt. I hope whoever gets one enjoys the piece, appreciates the work put into it, and finds some treasure to put inside!
